重曹を窯に直接投げ入れて器面にソーダガラスを形成させるソーダ焼成。炎が当たれば当たるほど艶やかなガラスが厚く形成されていきます。こちらの品は全方向から炎がよく当たる場所に配置し全体的に青白い焼き上がりになっています。外側には線刻を施しています。私の飯碗は高台を高くとり、手の平全体で包み込むような持ち方ができるようになっており、持ちやすさにご好評いただいています。

Soda firing is a unique technique that sprays baking soda directly into the kiln to form soda glass on the surface of the vessel.The parts facing the flames develop a glossy blue color, and on the contrary, the parts that are shadows and do not face the flames develop a black color that retains the texture of clay.The contrast between blue and black is very good in this work. This inscription has been my trademark since independence. My rice bowl raises KODAI. It is highly rated because it can be held by anyone.
